Haroon Khan

Haroon is a Research Assistant for the GLAM-E Lab at the University of Exeter. His research focuses on tracking various developments in the cultural sector to enrich the data profile and interoperability of the Open GLAM Survey.

Haroon has an LLM in Law and Digital Technologies from Leiden University and an LLB from the University of Exeter. Having previously served as a sergeant in the Swiss infantry, Haroon was appointed as Lecturer in cyber law at Tilburg University’s Institute for Law, Technology, and Society (2022-2024), and in security studies at the Leiden University Faculty of Governance and Global Affairs (2024-2025). In 2025, Haroon launched his own consultancy and now advises on ethical AI and policy.
